Kleenheat donates $5000 to Augusta rescue group

Thanks to local community support, the Augusta Volunteer Marine and Rescue Group have been voted as recipients of a $5000 Kleenheat donation.

As a part of a summer campaign, Kleenheat LPG customers were asked to nominate a local cause, charity or community group.

Augusta Volunteer Marine and Rescue Group were one of the seven awarded with the donation for the South West region.

Group treasurer Phil Tubb of the group said the donation was one of the largest they had ever received from a non-government source.

“To purchase and maintain our equipment as well as train our volunteers, requires quite significant financial resources,” he said.

“Donations such as this from Kleenheat, will go a long way to providing these finances.”

He said the Augusta community are very generous with their own donations and support towards the group. Mr Tubb is particularly grateful to Kleenheat LPG Dealer, Rob and Sue from Gozzi Gas and Plumbing, for rallying the votes needed to receive this donation.

Kleenheat Business Representative Peter Handgraaf hands a cheque of the donation to the crew of the Augusta Volunteer Marine and Rescue Group.
