Annalakshmi | Our State on a Plate

Craving food that’s truly made with love? Check out Annalakshmi, an Indian buffet-style restaurant, conveniently located on Perth’s stunning foreshore at Elizabeth Quay.

Since its beginnings in 1991, Annalakshmi has been serving up delicious Indian meals, operating on the unique philosophy that their customers should only pay as much as they can afford.

No one leaves Annalakshmi hungry. This reclusive gem keeps on giving back to the community, providing delicious vegetarian lunches and dinners for everyone – including the less fortunate.

Mostly run by volunteers, you’ll leave this place with a full tummy and a full heart, knowing that you’re supporting a truly worthy local cause.

Annalakshmi – some spicy facts

  • “Anna” means food, “Lakshmi” is the Hindu divine mother, the goddess of wealth, good fortune and sustenance
  • There is no pricing on the menu – customers pay how they feel
  • Dishes are prepared fresh daily using local WA produce
  • The philosophy behind Annalakshmi is “guest is God”. All customers are treated the same, with the aim being to feed all guests unconditionally

It’s safe to say that Annalakshmi is a unique restaurant that’s definitely worth supporting.

Update

Recent times have had a massive impact on our communities and economy. In the face of these challenges, Annalakshmi has been committed to keeping their doors open and adjusting its service model of “pay-as-you-wish” to a $15 set-price thali, as they struggle to get back on their feet.

There’s so much value in supporting local, and in their time of need, let’s give a little back so they can continue to be there for others doing it tough, as they have been for so long.
