Kleenheat Business customers dining for gold – at this years’ Gold Plate Awards

The 2019 Kleenheat Gold Plate Awards are now only weeks away from recognising excellence within in the dining community here in WA.

Kleenheat has been sponsoring the Gold Plate Awards in partnership with the Catering Institute since 2016, and this year the best of the best will be announced across 28 categories on Monday 25 November at Crown Perth.

This year we’re excited to see a number of Kleenheat Business customers in the running for a Gold Plate Award! Congratulations to all this year’s finalists and we look forward to seeing you for the big night in November!

Cafes

Kava Café – Bicton
Nominated for: Licensed Café
A reliable coffee stop for locals and visitors searching for their caffeine fix. It won’t cost you an arm or leg to enjoy a great tasty snack with your coffee either. Apart from coffee and tasty treats, you can also enjoy fine wines, craft beers and ciders during the evening hours, plus a food menu that covers breakfast, lunch and dinner options.

Open Tuesday to Sunday 7.30am – 2.00pm, Wednesday to Saturday open till 9.00pm. Closed Monday.

Mrs S Café – Maylands
Nominated for: Coffee Shop | Breakfast
Mrs S Café serves up great coffee and delicious wholesome brekkies, hearty lunches and early afternoon tea. You might stop tasty treats you grew up with, based on seasonal availability, with a touch of modern fanciness.

Open Monday to Friday 7.00am – 3.00pm | Saturday and Sunday 8.00am – 3.00pm. Closed public holidays.

Regional dining

Skeetas restaurant & Café – Geraldton
Nominated for: Licensed Casual Dining Regional
A local favourite in Geraldton for over 25 years, you’ll find Skeetas in the marina district where you can enjoy panoramic ocean views while browsing a tasty menu. Offering a menu for all occasions and a view to enjoy every day!

Open all day, every day, and some public holidays.

Perth lunch and dinner venues

Wing Bo Chinese Restaurant – Maylands
Nominated for: Licensed Chinese
Wing Bo is a family friendly restaurant serving a whole host of traditional Chinese and Asian dishes, following authentic recipes. It’s been operating for more than two decades, which suggests it must be doing things right.

Open six days for lunch and dinner each day, 11:30am – 2:30pm | 4:30pm – 10:00pm. Closed Tuesdays.

Bistro Bellavista – East Perth
Nominated for: European/Mediterranean Dining | Best Pizza | Family Dining
Bistro Bellavista is pretty proud of their new wood fired pizzeria as well as their previous success with the Gold Plate Awards. They won the category of Best European/Mediterranean Dining in 2017, plus the categories of Best European/Mediterranean Dining and Best Pizza in 2018. If you’re a fan of Italian cuisine, Bistro Bellavista sounds like a golden option!

Open for dinner Tuesday through to Sunday. Open for lunch on Sunday too.

Mai Thai Restaurant – Alfred Cove
Nominated for: Unlicensed Asian
Serving up dine-in and takeaway traditional Thai cuisine.

Open for dinner 5.30pm – 10.00pm six days. Closed Mondays.

Chef & Co – Bedford
Nominated for: Licensed Casual Dining Metro | New Restaurant
Chef & Co might be new in the Perth dining scene, but it has already made its mark as an award-winning restaurant. Owners Darren King and Yvonne Khan bring a heap of knowledge and experience to the table (pun intended), creating memorable dining experiences using fresh regional produce. If you love good local food and good local wines, Chef & Co offers innovative Aussie tucker with a twist. They also provide free WiFi and catering options.

Open Wednesday through to Sunday for lunch and dinner.

The Wang’s Treasure House – Morley
Nominated for: Unlicensed Asian
Serving up dim sum and a full menu of delicious Chinese and Asian fusion dishes. Offering dine-in, take-away for small and large groups and catering. Bring the whole family!

Open Sunday to Monday 10.30am – 3.00pm and 4.30pm – 10.30pm (11.00pm Saturday). Closed Tuesday.

Mayfair Lane Pub – West Perth
Nominated for: Restaurant with a Tavern / Pub | Wine List of the Year | Fresh Produce – Buy West Eat Best  
Wander into West Perth and you’ll find this gem, inspired by the British gastro pub and dining experience. Mayfair Lane Pub has won several awards since opening, including WA’s Wine List of the Year 2018 and making the top 50 restaurants for the WA Good Food Guide. For a finessed experienced without pomp and ceremony, head to Mayfair Lane Pub.

Open Monday – Saturday for lunch and dinner. Closed Sundays and Public holidays.

Han Palace – East Perth
Nominated for: Licensed Chinese | Seafood Dining
Established 20 years ago, Han Palace Restaurant creates award-winning food for diners throughout Perth. Previously a Gold Plate Award Winner, Han Palace continues to win hearts and stomachs serving up authentic Chinese cuisine.

Open for lunch Friday and Sunday 12.00pm – 3.00pm | Open for dinner Monday to Sunday 6:00pm – 10:00pm

Swan Valley

Caversham Estate – Caversham
Nominated for: Venue Caterer’s Award
When visiting Caversham Estate, you won’t simply sit down to award winning dining. The property’s rich history offers a unique experience for each visitor, as well as an ideal venue for a wedding, special birthday or a lunch stop on a private charter boat exploring the Swan Valley.

Open for lunches seven days week.

Riverbank Estate – Caversham
Nominated for: Restaurant/Café within a Winery – Metro and Regional  
Riverbank is an award-winning winery with several Gold Plate Awards and multiple award-winning wines. It’s a good option if you’re in search of Swan Valley dining option using local, fresh ingredients.

Open daily for dining and wine tastings.
