Food-lovers, ready yourselves: the Territory Taste Festival set to celebrate everything mouth-watering about quality Northern Territory produce, restaurants and suppliers.
This year Kleenheat is excited to be on board supporting Darwin’s popular two-day foodie extravaganza – across two big days on Saturday 25 May and Sunday 26 May – when locals and visitors will be treated to the sights, smells and flavours from the Top End and beyond.
Treating your tastebuds in the NT
In 2019, the Territory Taste Festival finds a fresh waterfront location at the Darwin Cruise Ship Terminal and Fort Hill Wharf – complete with a new-look format including a producers pavilion showcasing quality local NT retailers, cooking demonstrations, live music and entertainment, plus loads of food samples to get your tastebuds dancing.
Each year this popular local event highlights the very best of the NT’s hospitality industry, presenting the region as a gourmet travel destination and strengthening its reputation as one of Australia’s most unique holiday experiences.
Star power in the Kleenheat Kitchen
This year’s Territory Taste Festival sees the addition of our popular Kleenheat Kitchen, hosting local and nationally-recognised chefs for cooking demonstrations and tips all weekend.
Top billing in the Kleenheat Kitchen goes to celebrity chef and My Kitchen Rules judge Manu Fieldel – who’s set to spice things up with his passion and unique flair for food across both days. Guests will enjoy opportunities for cookbook signing and photos, plus access to his exclusive recipe cards – all from the air-conditioned comfort of the cruise ship terminal.
Keep in mind Manu’s demonstrations are ticketed separately and places are limited, so you’ll also need an entry ticket to Territory Taste Festival for the day/s you’re booked to see Manu.
The Kleenheat Kitchen will also feature plenty of free cooking demonstrations all weekend from some of the regions most popular and innovative chefs including Jimmy Shu (Hanuman), Betty Banks (My Kitchen Rules semifinalist), Peter Janes (The Shredded Chef), Nadeem Turkyah (Damascus Kitchen) and more.
Check the full Kleenheat Kitchen schedule online and swing by for local and international recipe inspiration and chef panel discussions.
