The start of a friendly rivalry

Befitting its name, Varsity Bar Waterford enjoys a particularly strong following from hungry-thirsty students at nearby Curtin University.

Co-owner Matt Pound said while Varsity Bar is by no means a student-only venue, it’s great to see a strong cohort developing an affinity for their respective local hangouts.

“We’ve enjoyed a really positive response from our customers at Varsity Bar in Nedlands, particularly UWA students and customers across Perth’s northern suburbs” Pound said.

“We thought it worth bringing a similar experience to the opposite side of the river, and so far we’re seeing encouraging support from passionate Curtin folks, along with the broader community.”

“At the end of the day, we’re here to serve all comers with good food and drinks at reasonable prices – but a little healthy competition never hurt anyone.”

You can treat yourself to a slice of America at Varsity Bar Waterford from 11:00am till late seven days week, with Kleenheat proudly fuelling their energy needs to help keep the good times rolling.
