Fringed out? We don’t think so!
If you haven’t already joined the rest of Perth by visiting Elizabeth Quay, please do so. And if you have, then you’ll know it is worth going again… and again!
Popularised in America in the 1940s as a professional sport, the world of roller derby has rolled into Perth with the first-ever outdoor rink. Complete with music, food stalls and skate hire, it is located at the FRINGE WORLD Fairground in Elizabeth Quay.
The best time of the day to go is just around the sunset, making Elizabeth Quay one of the most romantic locations in Perth this summer!
You can also expect the unexpected games, rides and show bags!!!

We can resist anything except temptation!
Here at Kleenheat, we are big foodies. Our hawkers’ game is strong and we treat street food with the utmost respect.
Fridays are about winding down, indulging a little and unleashing your innermost hedonistic desires!
Our recommendation is Twilight Hawkers Market, held in Forrest Place from 4.30pm to 9.30pm.
Be prepared to have all of your senses elevated to the next level! Enjoy some of the tastiest, authentic street food from around the world, the enticing smell of sizzling flame-grilled food, and the sound of live local music, all contributing to an amazing atmosphere and a Friday night well spent.
Life is about balance! Begin your weekend with a little TLC and treat yourself to some local, organic produce at Subi Farmers Markets. Pick up a delicious traditional Moroccan breakfast from Shak Shuka, made of poached eggs in slow-roasting tomato sauce with herbs, spices and garlic.
Acquaint yourself with the many stalls of gourmet food, bring the kids, and enjoy the entertainment and the community feel these markets have to offer! There is even something for your dog!
Relax, take it easy!
End the week with some passive entertainment and wind down for the week ahead with ‘Youth‘, the movie starring Michael Caine, Harvey Keitel and Rachel Weisz, screening at Rooftop Movies from 8pm. Arrive at 6pm to grab the best seating available, share a pizza for dinner and watch the sun set over Perth.
Mondays are the new Fridays and today happens only once every four years!
Lift your Monday mood by treating it like a Friday. Make a dinner reservation and break bread with your friends at one of Perth’s trendiest restaurants. Or, if you are feeling game, do a walk-in. You’ll enjoy skipping the long queues and the rush typical of weekends.
We recommend Lalla Rookh on St Georges Terrace, Perth:
- Our Sales Manager, John enjoys: braised rabbit, prosciutto, white wine and tomato, stewed fennel, pangrattato.
- Our Digital Marketing Coordinator, Eva recommends: braised beef marrow.
- Our Marketing and Sales Assistant, Anja suggests: pizza fritta: fried pizza, tomato sugo, fior di latte, proscuitto.
Freeze! Where do you think you’re going?
Be a ‘cheapskate’ and cool down this Tuesday at the ice-skating arena in Cockburn. Cheapskate sessions are only $15 per person, and skate hire is included. The session commences at 8pm and lasts for two hours – loads of fun and a leg workout all in one. Now that’s the ‘icing’ on the cake!
Hump day: They say the best things in life are free…
Whether you’re a complete beginner or an advanced yogi, the benefits of yoga go far beyond improving flexibility. Perth City’s ‘Get City Fit‘ program offers a range of free classes, including this Wednesday’s after-work gem.
Improve your core strength and de-stress at the outdoor Vinyasa Yoga class, which runs from 6pm to 7pm Wednesdays at the Northbridge Piazza. No bookings necessary.
