Kleenheat continues to support local community groups

Kleenheat has donated six BBQ’s to local community groups, sporting clubs and recreation centres located in the Bunbury region, as part of their ongoing support of local communities.

As part of a recent community support initiative, Kleenheat asked local groups interested in a free BBQ to register their interest and received an overwhelming response.

“It’s fantastic that we are able to give back to the community who have supported Kleenheat over the years and to have such a great response from a range of diverse local groups is really positive,” said Emma Cheeseman, LPG Territory Manager.

The lucky recipients of the BBQ’s were Bunbury Hockey, Binningup Volunteer Bush Fire Brigade, Bunbury Sea Rescue, Milligan Learning Centre, Vasse Football Club and Harvey Swimming Club. The deserving recipients will no doubt be able to put the BBQ’s to good use, promoting activities within their clubs and among members.

The Binningup Volunteer Bush Fire Brigade was one of the first community groups to have their BBQ installed. “After the fires in the area, the Brigade members have been affected in different ways and it has also tightened the bond between our members and neighbouring towns.  By replacing our old rundown BBQ with a new BBQ it will help lift the spirits of those affected, help retain the comradery that has been developed between members and neighbours and bring a new element to an old facility that will hopefully encourage growth” said Jesse Puccio a volunteer from the Brigade. “We would like to express our appreciation to Kleenheat for the initiative to run the competition and select Binningup as one of the lucky recipients of these awesome BBQs.”

“Kleenheat is a proud supporter of local communities, and we are pleased to be able to support the Bunbury community through our donation,” Ms Cheeseman finished.

What a great initiative!! I am the Manager of a small Indigenous Aged Care Program at the Bagot Community in Darwin. We would benefit hugely from the donation of a community BBQ. We have weekly social groups and a BBQ is something very high on our wish list. BBQ”s bring people together and the smell of a BBQ can trigger treasured memories. In aged care memories are so very special. I would love to talk with you about the huge benefits a community BBQ donation would bring to this program. Justine Glover
