Introducing Kleenheat Community Grants: rewarding local groups across regional WA and the NT.

Big news – Kleenheat Community Grants has arrived!

Our brand new grants program is ready to support local groups and organisations doing great things in communities across regional Western Australia and the Northern Territory.

There are 40 grants up for grabs across five categories – each worth a handy $1,000 – all designed to help local go-getters continue to make a positive difference in our communities.

With over 60 years’ experience being part of local communities – and local teams on the ground – we see the positive impact being made across regional WA and the NT and know it’s amazing what a little grant can do.

Supporting great causes across five categories

Kleenheat Community Grants will cover the following five categories, each with their own application periods over the next six months:

Community GrantsConnected Communities

Growing stronger community relationships through activities that bring us all together. Being part of a vibrant community can have a positive effect on everyone – whether it’s meeting new people, lending a helping hand or contributing to making your town a great place to live.

Inspiring Bright Minds

Helping our big-thinkers turn bright ideas into positive change. It doesn’t matter who we are, where we live or what we do – a curious mind and creative thinking can open up a new world of possibilities.

Applications open 15 February 2021

Health and Wellbeing

Being proactive in championing the many benefits of a healthy mind and body. Feeling good, functioning well and having a sense of purpose all play an important role for individuals, families and community groups.

Healthy Planet

Getting behind groups and causes committed to protecting our environment. Helping to keep our community and planet healthy will go a long way in leaving a positive legacy for future generations.

Cultural Diversity

Understanding and celebrating the many cultures that enrich our community. Embracing diversity in culture helps strengthen communities , build new relationships and encourage an inclusive and positive way of life.

Local people, local groups, local communities

Before we launched to the wider community, we asked Kleenheat staff in regional WA and the NT to suggest worthwhile causes they believed would benefit from a little helping hand.

We’re excited to grant five applicants a donation of $1,000 each to help them continue their great work.

Who: The Fathering Project

Category: Connected Communities

What: The Fathering Project is about supporting dads and their relationships with their kids. This grant will support the roll-out of programs and support materials in schools that focus on educating students on topics such as substance abuse, suicide and self-harm.

Where: Karratha and Port Hedland, WA Community Grants Health and Wellbeing

Who: Champion Bay Surf Life Saving Club 

Category: Health and Wellbeing

What: As a not-for-profit, the Club’s current membership of 300 adults and children, provide surf life-saving support to the local community. This grant will assist the Club in upgrading or replacing life-saving equipment.

Where: Geraldton, WA

Who: Rangeway Primary School 

Category: Health and Wellbeing

What: This grant will assist in catering expenses towards the school Breakfast Program and Emergency Lunches, which supports the student counselling program, that the School Chaplain provides.

Where: Geraldton, WA

 Who: Southern Districts Football Club

Category: Health and Wellbeing

What: This grant will go towards new training equipment, for this 600 strong AFL sports club.

Where: Darwin, NT

Who: SHINE

Category: Inspiring Bright Minds

What: SHINE works with young women (aged 13 -16  years) at risk of exiting the education system and provides them with the essential life skills to support their personal, educational and career development.

    Connected Communities: Rotary Club of Palm Beach is conducting its Rotary Beach Side Festival on
    Sunday March 14th on beautiful Safety Bay. A Family Day, a family- 5 category fun run day, proceeds for
    Youth, especially Mental Health, only festival each year in Safety Bay. Small sponsorships needed to
    offset cost of “Climbing Wall”, Bouncy Castle, “Laser Tag Game”. 40 Rotarians provide before and on March
    14 over 500 hours of free community service to the Safety Bay Community of over 60 K residents

    Kleenheat is better consumption in hot water gas and cooking. Love the bbq too on those hot summer days.
