Gold standard: WA’s best restaurants revealed

The 2016 Kleenheat Gold Plate Awards have celebrated our best and brightest eateries – where will you book first?

The 2016 Kleenheat Gold Plate Awards were announced in front of 600 VIP guests at a Gala Event at Perth Convention & Exhibition Centre on Monday 14 November.

Hosted by the WA Catering Institute of Australia (CIA), the awards celebrate the outstanding quality and service provided by our best restaurants. This year saw more than 120 entries across 29 categories, proving we’re spoilt for choice in WA.

The 2016 CIA Premier’s Award is presented to Silks at Crown Perth, not only as best fitting judging criteria and attaining the highest percentage score overall

Bill Thompson Award
Jake Tolich, Sandalford Winery

The 2016 CIA Bill Thompson Award for excellence in service is awarded to an individual staff member during the Gold Plate judging process. Judges are encouraged to nominate a waitperson they believe displays an exceptionally high level of standard of presentation, service and commitment to the hospitality industry.
