Kleenheat. It’s Australian for Gas. Donating to charities. It’s Australian for a fair go.

That’s why this summer we are encouraging you to get your fair crack of the whip. All you have to do is enter log onto our website, fill in your details and nominate a charity of your choice. Whats in it for you? The chance to win LPG for a year and $1000! Whats in it for the charity? A chance to win a donation of $5000. Now that’s something to yarn about.

We have already had four winners: Katja from Donnybrook and Sharon from Boyanup selected Foodbank WA as their charity. Mike from Dunsborough nominated Vasse and District Community Centre and Jeremy from Cowaramup chose RSPCA WA. All very worth nominations I’m sure you will agree.

Foodbank WA is a non-profit and non-denominational organisation devoted to feeding the hungry, acting as a conduit between Perth’s food industry and the welfare sector. Established in Perth in 1994 it has grown to having a presence in the regional WA areas of: Geraldton, Peel, Bunbury, Albany and Kalgoorlie Boulder.

RSPCA

RSPCA WA operates in WA to improve the welfare of animals by rescuing and rehoming those lost, abandoned, injured or mistreated. Inspectors have the power to prosecute those that abuse, abandon or injure animals under the Animal Welfare Act 2002. In addition the RSPCA run Adopt a Pet placing animals back into loving care.

Vasse and District Community Centre provide a facility for the community to gather for group activities, social support, public information and other purposes.

Other worthy nominations include St John Ambulance Collie dedicated to providing volunteer ambulance officers to the area, Royal lifesaving WA promoting safe participation in water related activities, and Esperance Men in Sheds providing members extensive woodmaking facilities in order to promote wellbeing.
