Northern Territory Branch Manager Fiona Eyres participated in the annual Clontarf Employment and Leadership Camp in Darwin on 9 February. Organised by the Clontarf Foundation, the camp represents a great development opportunity for academy members who are completing their Year 12 journey.
As Clontarf’s corporate partner, Kleenheat was proud to participate in the camp which aims to assist the students in making the transition from school to work, broaden their understanding of potential employment prospects as well as reinforce the importance of Year 12 completion and the impact it will have on their work and future post-school training.
Fiona said she had a great time meeting the academy members and spent the day with Year 12 student Andre, helping him in his goal setting and employment planning activities.
“It was wonderful to be invited to participate in the camp,” Fiona said. “We recently hired our first Clontarf lad as a ramp hand and we’ve really enjoyed having him on board.”
Kleenheat is proud to partner with Clontarf Foundation as they work to improve the educational and employment outcomes in the broader Aboriginal community.
