What is autogas?
Autogas is the commonly used name for automotive liquefied petroleum gas. It is
composed mainly of propane or a mixture of propane and butane and is recognised
as today's most widely accepted and only alternative fuel to petrol. Autogas
ensures that vehicles perform consistently and that combustion is clean and
smooth.
How long will a conversion take?
Conversion to autogas is usually completed within two working days. Each
installation normally carries a full 12-month or 20,000km warranty and includes
a 2,000km warranty check.
Where can I buy autogas?
Autogas is widely available all around Australia, with more than 3,500 outlets.
In fact, you can drive completely around Australia solely using autogas. In WA,
Kleenheat has 175 outlets where you may obtain discounts on autogas purchases
and there are a further 210 non-Kleenheat outlets.
How will using autogas affect my engine performance?
Using autogas can enhance your engine's performance and minimise engine wear,
which means the re-sale value of an autogas vehicle is generally higher than an
equivalent petrol vehicle. Autogas reduces engine wear and significantly reduces
carbon build up on internal engine components.
